WHO WE ARE

Arete International Pvt. Ltd. is a privately traded company established in 2020. This Company is incorporated under the Companies Act, and our registered office is at Tangal 5, Kathmandu.

We started off with a little question, glowing at the breakfast table, "why can't Nepal have the best the world has to offer in sustainable mobility?". The question, whilst seemingly simple, did not have an answer in 2020, and even if there were an answer, it wouldn't be 'simple'; Otherwise, it'd already be done.

Being a newly incorporated company, we started with the one brand our head turned towards when we thought,"well, what is the best the world has to offer in sustainable mobility?" : Tesla.

Arete International is the first distributor of Tesla vehicles in Nepal, it is only one of many brands that we aim to add to our portfolio in order to make transit in Nepal truly sustainable, for every one of its residents.

OUR VISION

Our Vision is to provide a sustainable option to every resident of Nepal to commute with. We began with bringing Tesla to the top of the world, but we are aware of the small demographic this will aid. Arete International envisions a future where transit can be harmless to mother nature and to users' pockets. Through projects on mass transit and cost-friendly alternatives, we aim to create a greener, cleaner Nepal.

OUR MISSION

Our mission now is to provide reliable, established solutions found all over the world to Nepal. To offer our customers a unique buying experience that matches the commitment and quality shown around the planet. To ensure an experience that truly creates a relationship with a customer.

Arete Right Now

We at Arete International are currently focusing on expanding our market share in the Nepali EV market. We continue bringing Teslas into the country despite volatile government policies and ensuring there is no hindrance in our mission to make commuting in Nepal genuinely sustainable.

We are also working with the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) to expand our charging network all over the country and working to create an easy way for customers to access these. Without the correct infrastructure, adoption will be fast, no matter how great the product itself is. We believe in creating an inclusive, simple and reliable service for our customers - where their range anxiety is just a modern myth, and product longevity is a common worry.

We have a range of options for servicing our vehicles too, from flying doctors to treating more complex problems to our service centre in the heart of the city of Tangal. Our doctors fly in or send advice from all over the world, and our technical team are in regular contact with them to ensure customers feel safe settling into their new sustainable lifestyle.

Now, that's just the present. We like to look towards the future, too; in our vision, we stated that we want sustainable transport for every Nepali and are working towards that goal. Within this decade, we plan to launch an electric tram service around the city, creating a clean service for the environment and those who might have never opted to travel by public transport.

We are also a member of the Nepal Automobile Dealers Association, and we took pride in our zero-waste promotion at their first ever EV Expo. We also continue to promote electric vehicles by regularly engaging in events organised by other organisations, such as the recent EV Rally.

We also take pride in our membership with UNGC. With this, we are able to access partnerships with a range of organisations – to share the best practices and work on emerging solutions for a sustainable future.
